Pillow Mask

A wire and paper mache mask created for a sculpture class. Bent wire taped together is used to create a frame, and covered in wheat paste paper mache. Once finished I will use a small amount of acrylic paint to add depth, and then photograph the mask being worn.

The project goal was to make a mask to anthropomorphize out of an object that we relate to. I chose a pillow, because it sits in bed all day and no one really thinks about it. It's probably a little lumpy, and a little old. However, when people do think about their pillow, it's typically a good feeling, because everyone likes their own specific pillow.
