Seehuus. Alexandra Seehuus.

Two E's, two U's, two S's (on the ends). Just call me Alex! I graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in May 2024 with a BS in Studio Art and a Minor in Computer Science. I enjoy exploring concepts of adoption, family, and racism as a Chinese Adoptee. I hope my work connects with other adoptees, adoptive families, and birth parents.

Due to my background in Computer Science, I have experience and interest in web, motion, and graphic design. I seek to create beautiful, functional, and accessible designs that allow appearance to balance with effectiveness.

I am currently based in Phoenix, Arizona.

Some More Info

Adopted from China and raised in Bloomington, Illinois, I love to travel and learn about new cultures. I've been to cities around the world, and visiting art and history museums are always at the top of my to-do list. Some of my favorites have been the Centre Pompidou, the Victoria & Albert Museum, MMCA Korea, and the Heard Museum. Coming from an artistic family I've dabbled in music, creative writing, and many different mediums of art, including but not limited to clay, resin, watercolor, acrylic paint, 2D animation, digital art, and some 3D animation. In my free time I can be found making my own characters, reading manga, and playing video games, all of which inspire my work. I hope to one day be fluent in Japanese.
